On Tuesday, March 23rd, United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) welcomed UpSlope Advisors, Inc as a Small Business Partner Member. The USGIF is a nonprofit educational foundation dedicated to promoting the geospatial intelligence tradecraft and developing a stronger GEOINT Community with government, industry, academia, professional organizations, and individuals who develop and apply geospatial intelligence to address national security challenges. USGIF achieves its mission through various programs and events such as the GEOINT Symposium and technology focused Tech Days.
As a Small Business Partner Member, UpSlope will help support USGIF in its efforts to "bring together the many disciplines involved in the geospatial intelligence sector to exchange ideas, share best practices and promote the education and importance of a national geospatial intelligence agenda". Although UpSlope as an organization is just becoming a member, several of our employees have have been involved with USGIF for many years in various ways. In 2020, UpSlope owner, Aaron Kelley, earned the Certified GEOINT Professional credential while several staff members have participated in the USGIF work groups and attended their events.
Being a Small Business Partner Member is meaningful to us, and we will strive to be an active member in USGIF Working Groups and events for teaching, learning, and networking around geospatial intelligence. UpSlope will have a leg up on following industry trends and best practices as well as current customer and mission requirements. This new relationship strengthens our already solid belief in USGIF.
