USGIF BRIDGE
Just this year We joined forces with the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) to bring DEIB principles to the GEOINT community. At the 2022 GEOINT conference, USGIF announced a new Working Group called BRIDGE. BRIDGE stands for Building Respect, Inclusion, and Diversity for the GEOINT Enterprise.
BRIDGE was formed to help the USGIF community grow and champion an environment that recognizes diversity as a foundational value by providing venues for discussion and recommending actions for the community. UpSlope's president, Aaron Kelley was named a co-chair along with Maxar's Jennifer Krischer, PMP. Below are a list of the USGIF BRIDGE goals and objectives:
To plan and coordinate activities promoting diversity, inclusion, and belonging in the GEOINT community.
To serve as an integrator with other USGIF working groups for education and outreach around diversity, inclusion, and belonging
To identify, recommend, and promote GEOINT community best practices and policies around diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
To offer a forum to celebrate and acknowledge our diverse GEOINT community
